Presentation of Slovak Gastronomy

Slovak Hospitality Services introduce a presentation of the Slovak Gastronomy.


Presentation of Sheepherding and Fishing in Slovaka  – visit of Shepherd's hut in a forest near the town of Stupava. Visit of breeding ponds in the same location.  Dinner served in a historical premises of a former Ice Cellar in the town of Stupava. Tasting of the Slovak national cuisine meals . Menu is based  according to the visited places. We offer: several sorts of the Slovak traditional cheese, „ Žinčica“ –a famous Slovak national drink made of sheepmilk , Lamb, „Bryndzové halušky“ , „Strapačky“ , several sorts of fishes from the Carpathian lakes and strems. Tasting of the Slovak wines.  Live music: Slovak traditional songs.img_6152

     Visit of Stoneware Dishware Manufacture in the village of Sekule. Demonstration of a traditional Slovak ceramics production. At  the same place is a Museum of the Sekule culture  presenting the  history and culture of the  „ Zahorie“ region. Dinner: „ Sekulská izba“ – a traditonal Sekule village room. We offer: traditional regional dishes, roasted young pigs, sauerkraut, „Kapustnica“ – national sauerkraut soup, smoked knuckle of pork, roasted gooses, potato pancakes, mixed pickles. Live music: Moravian cymbalo band.

     Game Feastpresentation of a gamekeeping in Slovakia. Visit of a ranch . Dinner in an Ice  Cellar in the town of Stupava. We offer: game dishes, pheasant soup, roe goulash, roasted wild boar, wild boar, deer, moufflon and  fallow deer steaks. Game smooked goods.Slovak wine, beer and spirits.  Live music

       Traditional Slovak Weddingdemonstration of a traditional Slovak wedding, presentation of the national Slovak customs. Dinner: traditional wedding meals, chicken soup with home made noodles, roasted pork and chicken,deep fried meat, potato salad, wedding bread,  smoked sausages, beef goulash, Cold Buffet. Live music.

 

      „Pig - Slaughtering“ – „Pig - Slaughtering“  is  an old Slovak tradition practised in a Slovak  villages during a winter time. Presentation of several  traditional meals – an outdoor activity. Live music and interpretation. Possible only from  December until March.

 

        Historical Cooking – Demonstration of a historical cooking – an outdoor activity. Cooking on a charcoal and wood. Preparing several sorts of meals cooked in a  natural  way. We offer: Beef and Game goulash, weal, beef, pork and chicken meat preparing  on the spit and grill. Slovak wines, „medovina“, beer, mineral waters. Live music.

    Present Slovak Cuisine – Visit of a Butchers factory , tasting of smoked goods. Dinner: Grand buffet – we offer a Slovak food products and drinks of the highest quality. Evening programme:  Slovak musician performance,  Live music.
